“All Things Advertising” Field Trip

Today, we had the opportunity to introduce our Kings (and one Queen) to the exciting new career field via an “All Things Advertising” Field Trip. Our Board Members and CMO partner, Q Juanise Robinson, had the pleasure of leading our exceptional group of students on a journey throughout Manhattan (a new experience for some) to visit with three phenomenal organizations.

This immersive experience gave these students the chance to explore the advertising industry and learn about the various roles and responsibilities associated with entry-level positions and internships. They participated in real-world brainstorming and campaign development exercises, which left them educated and feeling inspired to pursue this sort of work in their academic and professional journeys.

Throughout the day, the students were amazed by the activities they participated in. They were ecstatic about the marketing collaboration challenge at EssenceMediacom (and continued to debate about who should have won and why throughout the entire rest of the day). They thoroughly enjoyed networking and connecting with young professionals at Saatchi, where they learned “Nothing Is Impossible”. Lastly, the guidance and career coaching they received from mentors at TikTok was truly unmatched.

We are incredibly grateful to have met some amazing, gracious hosts. Our chief goal is to cultivate and inspire the next generation of professionals in the advertising industry and beyond.
