Our Impact

For over a decade, Kismet of Kings has been enrolling young men in our program, with over 235 enrolled to date. Together with our students, Kismet of Kings has also contributed over 10,000 hours of community service and hosted various events that have positively impacted more than 450 families across Jersey City. From cookouts to talent shows, seminars to field trips, Kismet of Kings has provided over 100 enrichment opportunities that engage and enrich their community.

Young men who participate in the program are 4X more likely than their peers to graduate high school on time. They are better prepared to thrive in a professional environment, equipped with resumes, cover letters, and business plans. The program also teaches these young men how to express themselves in ways that can effect change in the lives of others around them.

And the results speak for themselves: Since 2018, 90% of young men from Kismet of Kings have gone from 9th grade to 10th grade, compared to only half of their peers in the same demographic. Over a dozen of our alumni are now in college or on track to graduate, which is 10X the national average for low-income students. Through our entrepreneurial mentorship, the program has also supported the launch 6 startups founded by our young men. Thanks to the dedication of the program and the support of their community, Kismet of Kings has made a tremendous impact on the lives of young men in Jersey City.

Kismet of Kings is grateful for the donations and support of their donors and sponsors, as it is only through their contributions that their program can continue to thrive. Every dollar donated goes towards supporting the young men in their program with supplies, transportation, trips, partnerships, laptops, workshops, special guest speakers, a work-study program, and more.
